How to use this site
We hope this site is both easy to use and very helpful to you.
If you’re a person in search of home care, either for yourself or someone you care about, the first place you should go is to the “Get Help” button on the home page of this site. You’ll see it in white type, sixth from the left in the line of buttons just above to picture of the smiling home care nures. When you point your cursor at “Get Help,” you’ll see a menu of other choices drop down (in gray type on a white background). One of the choices on the menu is “Consumer Help” — click on that one.
On the Cunsumer Help page, you’ll find good information about home health and how to get the care you need. If you click on “WHO Member Care Providers,” you’ll go to a list of the leading home health agencies in Wisconsin. You can scan the list to see which providers are in your area. Or, you can scan down the “Consumer Help” page, where you’ll find links to some of our member agencies. Most list the counties they serve right next to their link. A third option is to click on “Home Care Agency Finder,” which takes you to a page operated by our national assoication. There, you can type in the address of the person needing home care, and you’ll be given a list of all the Medicare-certified home health agencies that can provide service to that address. Pretty nifty, eh?
If you are a care provider, but not a member of WHO, most of the good stuff is unavailable to you. You can however, check out our events and news pages, as well as the provider help page (where you can get an idea of the goodies available to members). You may be interested in looking at some of the issues on which WHO has taken an advocacy role. Most importantly, you’ll want to visit the page that explains why you’d be wise to join! We’ve even estimated the return on investment of your membership dues.
If you ARE a member of WHO, good for you! You’ve made a wise choice. Move your cursor over “Get Help” on the home page and you’ll get a drop-down menu that includes “Provider Help.” If you click on “Provider Help,” you go here, where you can find a growing store of important tools for your agency. If you simply hold your cursor over “Provider Help,” you’ll see another drop-down menu, from which you can choose either the “Vital Links” page (external links to important sites relating to Medicare, Medicaid, quality of care, business and more) or the “Members Forum” page. On the Members Forum page, you’ll find questions and answers posted by WHO members on the WHO list serv. You can use the comment function to ask your own questions and provide your own answers. These pages are available to WHO members only and require a password.

I still cannot access some information here, for example OASIS C best practice manual. A message comes up stating that I am not a provider.
